n his bereavement and grief, the poet has the sure hope of meeting his beloved in the world of God where all dear ones lost will be found again and all happiness will be restored.
Here the poet portrays himself as a flower-girl, the beloved of God. She waits long and in vain for her lover. Others come and take away her flowers of love. The passers-by make fun of her, but in silence she awaits her Lover, with longing, sweet dreams and tears.
