God expresses His love and glory through His beautiful creation. The poet is thankful to God for the joys granted to him. Day break fills him with love and joy as it is the rebirth of light that had died in the night, and he glorifies God.
Joy flows like a river and produces the rich growth of grass over the earth. God delights in creation and destruction, the latter being a renewal of life.
Mirth spreads from leaf to leaf, my darling, and gladness without measure. The heavens’s river has drowned its banks and the flood of joy is abroad.
thou who art the king of kings hast decked thyself in beauty to captivate my heart. And for this thy love loses itself in the love of thy lover, and there art thou seen in the perfect union of two.
is there no joy in the deep of your heart? At every football of yours, will not the harp of the road break out in sweet music of pain?
